NSPPP Provisional Age Group Squad  Selections: 2009 / 2010 Season
	It is the practice of the NSPPP to select an age group squad in March rather than to assign players to Selects and United teams. Experience shows that between March and September, many changes can occur with a player that could significantly impact their initial team placement. During the 5 month period between age group squad selection in March and the beginning of the competitive play season in September, may players experience physiological changes including height, weight and other attributes that impact speed, coordination and overall player effectiveness. Those players that focus on soccer skills development, nutrition and physical training during the summer are also likely to show marked improvement that could impact team placement. It is therefore the practice of the NSPPP coaching staff to re-evaluate players in the August pre-season prior to deciding initial Selects and United team rosters. Players are reminded that initial team placement does not guarantee a player a position on that team for the entire season. Player movement between the Selects and United teams for player development is desirable and should be expected.
